ARKHAUS is a next-generation membership club launching its flagship location in Miami. Set in Biscayne Bay, the groundbreaking network of private floating social clubs offers its members an exclusive experience unlike anything else in the world. ARKHAUS members can meet, relax, entertain, and celebrate onboard state-of-the-art floating yachts complete with outdoor decks, rooftop lounges and contemporary indoor spaces all centered around a private bay-water pool and remarkable panoramic views.

General Manager

The General Manager is responsible for the entire hospitality operation on board ARKHAUS. As head of the HospitaliTeam, the GM oversees service standards, operational efficiency, member/guest experience, staff retention and profit. The GM also exemplifies the ARKHAUS brand, imparting the company culture across the support staff, member and guest experience. You float seamlessly between FOH and BOH as an influential leader, with an ability to be at once strategic, resourceful, and dedicated to developing goals and actionable items required to optimize performance and profitability. You are passionate about the industry and are excited to build the new frontier of maritime hospitality alongside the founding team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Captain (head of SafeTeam) to ensure safety on board
  • Business development advisor, assessing opportunities that efficiently drive sales and staff/member retention through HR, Recruitment, Training, F&B/Operations, Marketing, PR, Social, Events & Programming, Finance, and Facilities
  • Leader and decision maker that supports, guides, develops and implements policies, procedure and systems to improve business operations, service, retention and over all experiences that have been outlined by local General Manager
  • Embrace and nurture a continuous growth environment by recruiting, hiring, training, disciplining and rewarding employees.
  • Ensure appropriate and effective focus on business objectives on a day-to-day basis, while contributing to the strategic development and leadership of the Club.
  • Develop operational goals based off weekly, daily and quarterly business performance reviews
  • Adhere to company policies for food safety, allergy procedure and maintaining a safe and inviting space for members, guests, staff by partnering with Health & Safety leaders and following local, government and regional compliance and abiding by legal standards
  • Lead, develop, motivate and empower employees to deliver operational best practice, identifying opportunities and making recommendations for improving efficiency and quality of service and operating standards.
  • Uphold company culture and standards of excellence
  • Be visible throughout the Club on a daily basis, meeting with members and guests as necessary.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years General Management experience in Miami, preferably in high-end Food & Beverage establishment or Private Club
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
  • Sound decision making; the calm in the storm.

  • A proven track record in a management role with the ability to inspire, motivate and manage.
  • Highly motivated and pro-active; act with professionalism and positivity in all interactions.
  • Ability to deliver high and consistent service standards.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective training.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail.
  • Comfortable at sea: ability to travel to the Club by tender boat and partake in single-vessel cruises
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, which may include weekends and holidays.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.

Understanding of luxury lifestyle

Knowledge of Miami hotspots, must be “in the know”

Appreciation for Blue Tech/Green Tech is a plus
